MY SYMPTOMS #1

I’ve lost all motor skills in my right hand. If you want to know how challenging it is, try doing everything in your day using only your non-dominant hand. EVERYTHING THING IS HARD FOR ME! I drop things all the time! I tried to release a banana from the bunch, using my fingers first, then using a knife.  No banana for me that day.

At first, out of frustration, I would cry. It took some time for me to realize if something wasn’t working I needed to step away for a bit. I learned to come back, give it three more try’s and if I still wasn’t successful I’d need to wait for help. This strategy was helpful in many ways.

One morning I was trying to maneuver a large container of yogurt off the top shelf of the fridge for my breakfast. I lost my grip and yogurt splattered across the kitchen floor,  leaving threads of white goo and one mountainous glob against the toe kick. My immediate response was a swear word. But as I looked at the mess I’d created something came over me and  I started to laugh. Carefully avoiding the spill, I made a bowl of Cheerios, headed for the living room, and left the yogurt on the floor.

  1. My sweet,
I love the photos! Your way of dealing with the spills is hands down the greatest. There’s so much I can learn from this. As you know I don’t deal with spills in such a calm way 😜. Thank you for sharing. It’s time for the powers to be to heal you and pass this crap to me, it’s my turn to endeavor. Crap is the most polite way I can put this! 😘😘❤️❤️🦄🦄
