I love spending time with my family! We’re silly, outrageous, unique, and I think we’re likable. We laugh; a lot! I never tire of their company.
Visiting can suck your energy; there’s so much stimulation going on around you!
Traveling plucks my energy yet, I still travel! There’s so much to see and my eyes take everything in; rust on a garage door, ALL BILLBOARDS, pretty houses, wild flowers in the median, tall buildings. Cars. Dogs. Children. Horses. Cowboys.?
I’d like to share some tips that help me. Bear in mind, IM NOT A PRO, what works for me might not work for you.
TAKE SOME QUIET TIME
Find a peaceful spot to go. Tell your family and friends you need some alone time. Sit in a chair, if possible, and close your eyes. Take some deep breaths and slow down. It’s time to go somewhere in your mind. Think of a place that gives you calm and comfort. Go there. Breathe the air. Smell with your nose and think about what it smells like. Feel what’s under your bare feet. Green grass? Sand? Water? Walk in it.
Keep traveling as long as you want to rest. Come back slowly, keeping your eyes closed. When you feel ready, open your eyes, take some deep breaths, and carry on if you want to. Good luck!
STAY HYDRATED
Water. Water. Water. Drink it throughout the day.
EAT
Carry snacks. Don’t let your belly get hungry. Eat SMALL, HEALTHY MEALS during the day. FEED YOUR BRAIN!
CLOSE YOUR EYES
When we travel long distances, I close my eyes. It helps to shut out all the stimulation. It’s hard to keep my eyes shut, but I try do twenty minutes at a time. It eases my mind and sometimes I fall asleep.
WEAR COMFY CLOTHING
That doesn’t mean old, stained, shabby sweat pants! Wear outfits that make you feel good about your self; a blouse that shows off your petty eyes, a lovely scarf, your favorite piece of jewelry.
Sometimes ITS ALL ABOUT ATTITUDE! Your brain can mess with you. Give it something wonderful to say to you!
UPDATE: I need to apologize to all of the male readers. I wrote this as a woman’s point of view so this paragraph is for you!
WEAR COMFY CLOTHES
Wear the brightest colored shirts you own! Keep up with your hair cuts. If, back-in-day, your ear(s) was pierced, wear an earring! Now is the time to be bold and courageous. Smile at your reflection in the mirror. If you think happy thoughts it’s bound to show though!

My Precious, my flower of power! So very well said indeed. I find myself in waiting to read your posts like a child waits for Christmas morning. Merry Christmas to you! Now I know why you have so many clothes in our so small of living quarters lol 2 Gypsies we are! I adore you.
Your V,
