We spent the entire day here.
I found Gatorland online, while searching for Touristy things to do in Florida. There are no alligators in Pennsylvania, so they are a novelty to us. Seeing the countless, cheesy looking billboards along the highway I just had to check it out. The website cliched it for me.
I’m not ashamed to say, I’m a Bird Nerd! Not only do they have “gators” on their 110-acre, family-owned business, they have crocodiles, snakes and reptiles, tortoises, and various, incredible birds!
We were greeted by friendly staff members, beaming, like their job is the best! Upon entering the park (??) we stepped onto a planked bridge that crisscrosses over the water. The chest-high sides of the planking are made of wire mesh, preventing guests from falling into the water below.
The snack bar had the usual, delicious offerings of hot dogs, hamburgers, and even authentic gator bites! We passed on gator meat and shared a chicken sandwich.
Enjoy the pictures of our day. I highly recommend Gatorland!
